Have you ever gone on a really cool trip or adventure? In the story
Yunmi and Halmoni's Trip, by Sook Nyul Choi, a young Korean American girl accompanies her grandmother, or Halmoni, back to Korea. On the trip Yunmi meets all of her extended family and learns more of Korean customs. Many students can relate to this story because they have gone on trips to visit relatives as well. This week, discuss with your student about their family and customs. This will help them feel more connected to Yunmi and her experiences.
